Tenacity is defined as: the quality of being determined to do or achieve something; firmness of purpose.
Tenacious people are in possession of 3 main characteristics:
One: Tenacious people don’t shirk responsibility, they assume responsibility. They take responsibility for their life and their career. They are ready to personally do whatever it takes to succeed.
Two: Tenacious people are goal setters - lofty goals. They do whatever it takes to reach those aspirations.
Three: Tenacious people look at life’s experiences in a positive light. Life is unpredictable and there will be highs and lows, good and bad. When tenacious people encounter setbacks they move forward positively and continue to do whatever it takes to be successful.
These are times that call for tenacity! Look for the lesson behind today’s experiences. Find the lesson in the bad stuff that happens and then put those lessons to work to achieve greater success. While many people feel powerless in the current economic environment the tenacious person is in the driver’s seat. Events and people don’t stop them from achieving their life and family goals.
Tenacious people are today’s winners. Congratulations!
While I can’t say I am a big fan of Destiny’s Child this song (especially the chorus) definitely celebrates the tenacious spirit.
